Domestlc violence or abuse comes ln Many forms and disguises. Forms of abuse can be verbal, emotional, mental, sexual and physlcal. It can include assault, stalking, battery, kid-napping and so on of one family or household member by another who Is living in the same home. It can be a pattern of assaultlve and controlling behaviors that one person uses agalnst another in order to gain power in the relationship. The abuser intentlonally behaves in ways that causé fear, degradation and humilia-tion to control the other person.

LCH Is branching out wlth a prevention program almed at teenagers and young adults. The dating violence program reaches teens through active presentations in school classrooms and special events just for youth.
